TRUMP ANNOUNCES TERMINATION OF THE DACA PROGRAM !
The Trump administration issued a Memorandum today, terminating the DACA (Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals) program effective immediately.
Under the terms of the cancellation, the USCIS has been directed to stop accepting any new “initial” applications from first time applicants for DACA. However, current DACA holders set to expire on or before March 5, 2018 can still file renewal applications until October 5, 2017.
In his announcement, Trump said that ending the DACA program was "in the best interests of our country" to "begin an orderly transition and wind-down of DACA, one that provides minimum disruption.", adding, "that DACA recipients are not enforcement priorities unless they are criminals, are involved in criminal activity, or are members of a gang."
A statement which is presumably meant to assure Dreamers that the Trump Administration is not planning to apprehend or deport them simply because they held or applied for DACA status.
Under these guidelines, renewals must reach and be accepted by the USCIS on or before October 5th, not just be postmarked showing the application was mailed by that date. Qualifying renewal Applicants are advised to file immediately and those filing such application themselves without legal representation should use either USPS Priority or Express Mail, never use Certified Mail.
Here is a quick Rundown of the Announcement and what it means for Dreamers:
1. Current DACA holders remain in status until the expiration date. This means that DACA status and EAD work permits (Employment Authorization Documents) will remain valid until they expire. The USCIS Approval Notice and EAD work permit have the expiration date on them.
2. USCIS will accept DACA renewal applications from today until October 5, 2017 for those with DACA status expiring between now and March 5, 2018. This means that if you have a work permit (EAD) that will expire between now and March 5, 2018, you must apply for a two-year renewal of your DACA by October 5th.
3. No new DACA applications will be accepted. Under the memorandum, the USCIS will no longer accept or process first-time applications, effective immediately.
4. Travel Permits will no longer be issued, effective immediately. This means that the USCIS will no longer process or grant DACA recipients permission to travel abroad through Advance Parole. Any pending applications for advance parole will not be processed and DHS will refund any associated fees.
It’s a sad day in America that innocent children are subject to the whims of politics and an administration which has no compassion and cares so little for justice and dignity! This historic decision could affect as many as 800,000 to 1 Million Dreamers and their families.

La administración Trump emitió un memorando hoy, terminando el programa DACA (Acción Diferida para Llegadas de Niños) efectivo inmediatamente. Bajo los términos de la cancelación, se le ha ordenado a USCIS el no aceptar aplicaciones nuevas, iniciales de solicitantes primerizos para DACA.
Sin embargo, portadores de DACA actuales que expiren en o antes del 5 de Marzo del 2018, pueden someter aplicaciones de renovación hasta el 5 de Octubre del 2017.

Una declaración que fue presuntamente para asegurar a Soñadores que la Administración Trump no planea aprenderlos o deportarlos simplemente porque ellos obtuvieron o aplicaron por el estado DACA.
Bajos estas guías, renovaciones deben llegar y ser aceptadas pro USCIS en o antes del 5 de Octubre, no solo tener sello de correo que muestre que la aplicación se envió antes de esa fecha. Solicitantes de renovación que cualifiquen son aconsejados aplicar inmediatamente y aquellos sometiendo dichas aplicaciones ellos mismos sin representación legal deben usar USPS Priority o Express Mail, nunca usen Correo Certificado.
He aquí un resumen del anuncio y lo que significa para los Soñadores:
1. Portadores del estado DACA actual permanecerán en estado hasta que se expire la fecha
Esto significa que el estado DACA y permisos de trabajo EAD (Documentos de autorización de trabajo) se mantengan validos hasta que expiren. La noticia de aprobación de USCIS y permiso de trabajo EAD tienen fecha de expiración inscrita.
2. USCIS estar aceptando aplicaciones para renovar DACA desde hoy hasta el 5 de octubre del 2017 para aquellos que le estado de DACA espira entre ahora y Marzo 5 del 2018.
Esto significa que si usted tiene un permiso de trabajo (EAD) que expira entre ahora y el 5 de Marzo del 2018 usted debe aplicar para una renovación de 2 años de su DACA antes del 5 de Octubre.
3. Aplicaciones de DACA nuevas no serán aceptadas.
Bajo el memorando, USCIS no estará aceptando o procesando aplicaciones por primera vez para solicitantes, efectivo inmediatamente.
4. Permisos de viaje ya no serán emitidos, efectivo inmediatamente. Esto significa que USCIS ya no procesara o concederá a portadores del estado DACA permiso para viajar al extranjero a través de Libertad Condicional Avanzada (Advanced Parole). Cualquier aplicación pendiente para advanced parole no será procesada y DHS devolverá las cuotas asociadas con esto.
Es un día triste en América que niños inocentes este sujetos al capricho de la política y una administración que no tiene compasión y se preocupa poco por justicia y dignidad! La histórica decisión podría afectar tanto como de 800,000 a 1 millón de Soñadores y sus familias.
